Hello Blog, I’ve missed you…

Hello blog..I’ve missed you.  I don’t know why I haven’t written in awhile.  I’ve had plenty on my mind, but just not compelled to blog it out.  Like on facebook “What’s on your mind?”..I have a mind and things are on it, but I don’t often share. Instead I creep others’ posts and comment on them.  I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that, is there?  Maybe it’s because I don’t think I have anything to say that would interest anyone.  I guess that’s a silly thought since you can pretty much blurt out anything and someone will comment on it.    I’ve got to get back to writing my stories and finishing up the ones I had started.  I don’t know where it will take me, but God does..

I’ve been volunteering at the Grace House Pregnancy Resource Center in Edgewater, training to be a Client Advocate.  It is so cool that you have an opportunity to meet with young woman who are facing some very important, life-changing decisions.   It really puts into perspective how there are consequences to every decision we make.  Right choices eventually bear some type of fruit and blessing, while wrong choices can cause some serious heartache.  We’ve all made right and wrong choices in our lives, and are probably living out the results of those choices.  Thank God that it is never too late to learn and walk the path that was planned for our lives..How amazing that all of my days have been ordained by the Living God!  When I find myself straying off the path, I usually hit a patch of Poison Ivy pretty quickly.  Not fun, but evidence that I’ve walked too far to the right or to the left…

I always remembered learning in school that the quickest way to any destination is by a straight line.  That’s a great life-lesson for kids as well as adults.  Taking the long route makes life so much harder..

We can find the path we’re to be on through prayer and seeking God’s will for our lives.  It would be great if it were a yellow brick road, but sometimes it’s just not that obvious.  I am thankful for my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  For it is only through His living sacrifice for me, that I may speak directly with my Heavenly Father.  It is so comforting to know that he hears me when I pray, and He knows what’s on my heart and mind.  He will direct our path when we trust in Him.

Continually pray for wisdom and guidance to be able to recognize the route, since let’s face it, there are a ton of forks in the road.  There are so many blessings along the way that we wouldn’t want to miss.  God loves us and doesn’t want us to miss them either.  What an awesome God we serve…It’s all about love..love,love,love..sorry, trailing off with a Beatles song…Really though, His love is like no other..

Wow, didn’t know all that would come out after typing “hello blog, I’ve missed you”..Guess it missed me too..

And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love..1 Corinthians 13:13

Peace 🙂
