Do You Always Say Yes?

So how was your week?

Amidst the normal routine, did your week consist of  the “would you?,” “can you?,” “could you do me a favor?” yeses from last week you couldn’t squeeze in last week, cause you were cramming in leftover yeses from the week before? Just reading that causes my eyelids to droop.

I think we’ve all been guilty of the “say yes to every request” syndrome at one time or another; a sure way to burn out and miss the meant-to-be moments.

I’m happy to report, I’ve made strides in the area of not saying yes to every request, but I can definitely improve. How about you?

Here’s an interesting and refreshing revelation: Did you know there’s another option to an otherwise no or yes answer? It’s The Best Yes.

New York Times Bestselling author Lysa TerKeurst has written a new book about finding your Best Yes. Many call this book “inspiring” and “fabulous.”  I call it a game-changer. You can grab a copy at http://goo.gl/ZFUZbD

Here’s a sample of highlighter-worthy wisdom you’ll find in the book:

“When a woman lives with the stress of an overwhelmed schedule, she’ll ache with the sadness of an underwhelmed soul.” How has this played out in your life? ~ Lysa Terkeurst (excerpt from “The Best Yes” Chapter 3: Overwhelmed Schedule, Underwhelmed Soul).

The Holy Spirit has absolutely inspired these words on a page. The message is pure. The message is simple. It’s not always easy, cause the opposite of The Best Yes is the hard but necessary no.

I’d love for you to share your thoughts after reading Lysa’s book. Of course, you can say no to taking time to read it, but if you do, you’ll miss a Best Yes.

Love In Him, my most important Best Yes,

Doris
