When the World Would Have Us Shaking in Our Boots
Have you heard the news? The world would have us shaking in our boots, and I'm not big on cliches, but this one truly fits. I know you don't need details, because you've heard it all too. There's no sugar-coating trials, storms, and evil. ...
Who Will You Invite?
I think we might be spoiled. Flowing water from faucets, lights by flipping a switch. I don't like to admit I take things for granted, but honestly, I kind of do. It's not that I'm not thankful, it's just that blessings I routinely receive can...
Are We Dwelling on Past Mistakes?
What have we learned from past mistakes? Hopefully we've learned not to repeat them, but before we can learn from them, we need to admit we've made them. Once we do that, without placing blame on everyone and everything else, we can confess it...
Choosing a Circle of Friends?
Choices. We make them every day, even when we don't realize we are choosing. Growing up, I hovered between circles of friends. It may sound amazing, being friends with everyone, but instead it proved challenging. The challenge? These circles...
Are We In?
Time. We say it moves too fast, we say it moves too slow. At times we want to rush God, don't we? We want to rush answers to prayers, and agendas, and plans. We may feel nothing is happening, and our works are fruitless, and our prayers are...
We’ve All Been that Woman
I love bicycles with baskets, and freshly cut flowers, scented candles, and freshly baked breads. How about you? But beautiful things aren't always what they seem, are they? Candles burn away, and bicycles get rusty. Bread gets moldy, and cut...

How Productive is our Waiting?
Seems the world is all about hurry up and wait. We wait in traffic, at doctors' offices, in check-out lines. Is there such a thing as productive and unproductive waiting? We've all heard the saying "it doesn't happen overnight," the it being...

What they’re saying
Love this podcast! Doris is such an amazing encourager to women! Love the stories she shares where compassion, passion, and action collide. She is such a champion of Jesus and women!!
I love how Doris inspires us all to share and live out the fierce calling God is calling us to. It’s no wonder Podcast Magazine recently featured her show, she is encouraging so many women’s hearts like mine through her show.
I’m always a fan of anything that echoes the heart of God in living out the calling He’s placed on our lives, and Doris does a FANTASTIC job of doing this in a way that is practical and leaves me feeling clear on how to lean into God all the more to be who He’s made me to be!
Doris has a way of getting to the story behind the story! She asks insightful questions that get to the heart of her guest. I enjoy the transparent conversations. You don’t hear them very often, but we do on this show! Doris is the real deal!
Doris has such a heart to help women understand their call and walk in it with joy. She helps women understand how their passion, compassion, and convictions intersect. So profound!! Her comforting and kind presence makes this show a delight to listen to. I’m ALWAYS encouraged by it.
