Father Hold My Hand
Sitting on my back patio reading scripture, I read the most comforting words reminding me I am still a child, a child of God. The passage spoke to my heart in such a personal way. It was a beautiful day, sunny and warm. Well, actually it was hot...
Driving Tips for Discipleship
Isn't it crazy beautiful, how God uses people like us to disciple other people? Has it been a scary thought for you? I was a banker for almost thirty years. My first day was in April 1981, and since it was spring, I guess you could have called...
When It’s Hard to Find Joy
Ever lost something just walking from one room to the next? Glasses, keys, phone. Frustrating isn't it? I know the feeling. We are not losing our minds, we're crowding them-with obligations and agendas fighting for brain gigs. Then there's joy....
Need A Rescue?
Ever feel you've wandered into a desert place? Stranded on a deserted island of desperate circumstances? Sort of in-between, stuck. I faithfully watched Gilligan's Island as a kid. Ridiculous at times, yet amusing to see the zany plans the cast...
How New Are You?
I'm a recreate kind of girl. I would love to be the creative type;one who envisions the perfect room design, the perfect outfit, the perfect wall-grouping. But truth be told, I am not. I may not be creative, but I can do recreate. I may not...

Keeping Our Cool in the Heat of Emotion
Feeling frustrated lately? I can relate. Heading out to meet a friend for lunch, I get into the car, turn the key, and nothing. Not even a click. While contemplating my next move, a cranking noise from the CD player about startled my hair gray....
Say Goodbye to the Material Girl
Have you ever glanced up at the next-oil-change-date sticker and gasped? I have. I'm the worst when it comes to remembering to get my oil changed. Don't judge. This morning, after gasping at the sticker date, I resolved to visit the local lube...

What they’re saying
Love this podcast! Doris is such an amazing encourager to women! Love the stories she shares where compassion, passion, and action collide. She is such a champion of Jesus and women!!
I love how Doris inspires us all to share and live out the fierce calling God is calling us to. It’s no wonder Podcast Magazine recently featured her show, she is encouraging so many women’s hearts like mine through her show.
I’m always a fan of anything that echoes the heart of God in living out the calling He’s placed on our lives, and Doris does a FANTASTIC job of doing this in a way that is practical and leaves me feeling clear on how to lean into God all the more to be who He’s made me to be!
Doris has a way of getting to the story behind the story! She asks insightful questions that get to the heart of her guest. I enjoy the transparent conversations. You don’t hear them very often, but we do on this show! Doris is the real deal!
Doris has such a heart to help women understand their call and walk in it with joy. She helps women understand how their passion, compassion, and convictions intersect. So profound!! Her comforting and kind presence makes this show a delight to listen to. I’m ALWAYS encouraged by it.
